--> Melt 125g unsalted butter, 3 tablespoons of golden syrup and 300g of chocolate in a heatproof bowl over boiling water or in a double boiler pot. I find that galaxy chocolate works best for this recipe.
--> Once melted, allow to cool but not to set. Mix in one packet of miniature marshmallows and 1-2 pouches of Malteasers or any malted balls you can find. I’m not sure how many grammes this is but it is a matter of preference rather than an exact science. When I made these I used one large pouch of malteasers but found it needed slightly more in ratio to the marshmallows.
***On a side note, malteasers and galaxy chocolate work well together because they have the same chocolate and are made by the same company!
-->Transfer to any kind of square dish to set. It doesn’t need to be smooth, it is rocky road after all! Set overnight in the fridge.
-->Once set, transfer onto a cutting board and cut into squares. Again, the size is optional but they are quite luscious so a little will go a long way! Dust with icing sugar or powdered sugar for decoration(optional).
-->Eat five in a row, feel sick for an hour and pass out of exhaustion due to attempting to digest the magnificent feast you just indulged in.
Happy vegging out!
